NEW DELHI, February 24 (Online): Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will address a leaders' conclave here by satellite television on Friday.

"The prime minister is busy and will not be able to attend the meeting personally. But he will be addressing it by satellite television on Friday," Pakistan embassy spokesman Riaz Hussain said.

The three-day India Today Conclave is described as "a forum for free and frank exchange of ideas among presidents, prime ministers, leaders and visionaries from around the world."

President Pervez Musharraf had addressed the conclave last year, also by satellite television.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and US Senator and former first lady Hillary Clinton are among those scheduled to address the meet.

Others include Nobel laureate author V.S. Naipaul, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, chairman and CEO of Mitta Steel Company Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar of the Art of Living Foundation.

End.
