Shaukat discusses bilateral issues with Greek Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz discussed ambit of issues with Greek Ambassador related to enhance cooperation in Trade, Culture and Economic sector besides Free Trade Agreement with European Union. Talking to the Greek Ambassador Pertos Navroidis who called on him at his residence on Wednesday, Former Prime Minister said that Pakistan values its relations with Greece as it is not only important member of EU and NATO but played a constructive role on the international level. The former Prime Minister said that Greece can also play an important role regarding FTA with the European Union, adding that the Pakistani products quality wise can compare with the products of other countries of the region. Shaukat Aziz said that nearly 75,000 Pakistani are living in Greece who not only contributing a significant role in the development of Greece but representing Pakistan there. He said that Pakistan wants peace and stability in the region as the country is located at the crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The ambassador of Greece on the occasion has emphasized improved bilateral relations between the two countries and said Greece also valued its relations with Pakistan as both the countries have historical relations. The signs of arrival of Alexander the Great have been found in Kalash and Chitral for that the area has immense importance for us from cultural point of view. End.
