ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi departed on Friday night for the United States to attend the UN General Assembly’s (UNGA) 73rd session.

FM will head the Pakistani delegation at the General Assembly’s current session which is scheduled to be commenced on September 18.

The Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua is also a part of the Pakistani delegation who is on in a week-long visit to the United Nations’ headquarter in New York.

Qureshi will also address the Pakistani community in Washington. FM Qureshi is expected to present Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly session. The minister will meet his counterparts at the session and hold talks with the US administration.
