ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik asking terrorists to lay down their arms and shun violence told that seven terrorists including one foreigner have been arrested in a fresh operation launched in FATA.

The security forces in their fresh offensive in FATA against terrorists have arrested 7 wanted terrorists including a foreigner while a terrorist Wali Khan lost his life during operation in Mehmund Agency, he said while talking to media men after addressing 34th passing out parade of Assistant Superintendents Police (ASPs) in Police headquarters on Thursday.

He said Government would enter in to dialogue with those terrorists who lay down their arms.

When asked about Indian deadline into the investigation of Mumbai carnage, he said, the investigation is progressing and soon final report would be dispatched to India, however, 12 days are remaining in Indian ultimatum to Pakistan.

In order to enhance capabilities of security forces, the Premier advisor on interior said, Islamabad Police would be equipped with 14000 bulletproof jackets while Police of Four Provinces with 10,00,00 Jackets. The salary of Police Personnel would be increased in next budget, he assured.

Replying to another query, he said, unregistered cell Sims has been declared illegal in the country and strict action would be taken against anyone found with unregistered sim.

Addressing the ceremony, he said, it is responsibility of Police to safeguard People’s right, adding that, Police should be servant of masses. The people can register their complaint at help line in Pakistan Police Academy anytime, he said. While congratulating recently Passed ASPs, he hoped they would work perform their duties with full dedication.
