KARACHI: Relatives of missing people started 1,200 kilometre long march from Karachi to Islamabad with the hope to recover their loved ones.

The two dozen men, women and children had camped in Karachi for three weeks after walking 700 kilometres from Quetta.

According to media reports, government has also been started preparations of legal draft against forced disappearances and it will be presented before the cabinet for approval.

According to legal draft, Army and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) will be given the right to take terror accused into custody for a long time.

Leader of long marchers, Muhammad Qadeer Baloch Sunday informed Online that long march is an attempt to put pressure on government with public support for recovery of those who had been forcibly disappeared.

The 70 years old Qadeer Baloch alias Mama Qadeer Baloch announced that their next destination is Islamabad and after reaching there they will announce future plan. "We have been exhausted in waiting for justice," he deplored.

On the other hand, Federal Task Force has prepared a draft and national policy would be formulated under the draft.

This draft would be presented before Secretary Interior who will present it before Prime Minister (PM) for approval, after PM's approval the draft will be presented before the cabinet.

New law contains 12 recommendations and after approval of said draft forced disappearance will be considered as crime.

End.
