KARACHI: The Ramazan moon has been sighted and the first day of the holy month of Ramazan will be observed across the country on Thursday.

Meanwhile, people in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar observed their first fast today (Wednesday) with the begining of Ramazan in most of the arab world. The first of Ramazan was also observed in Afghanistan, Malaysia and Indonesia.

After a meeting on Tuesday, Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman had announced that the Ramazan moon had not been sighted in Pakistan, therefore, the first day of the holy month will fall on Thursday.
