ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Sunday inspected a guard of honour which was presented to him at the PM House by a smartly turned out contingent representing the three armed forces.
In his remarks on the occasion, he said that today marks the fulfillment of the vision of Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and her commitment to see Pakistan as a democratic polity. He said this was only possible due to the policy of reconciliation pursued by President Asif Ali Zardari to overcome the challenges facing the country and laying the foundation of a welfare and democratic state.
After the guard of honor, the PM left the PM House for the caretaker Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, who will the sworn in today (Monday) at 1 pm.
