Quaid'S 137 birth anniversary celebrated with reverance

KARACHI: The 137th birthday of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated throughout the country on Wednesday.

A change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi .

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Military Academy Kakool took guard responsibilities at the Mazar from Pakistan Air Force cadets.

Commandant of the Academy‚ Major General Nazir Ahmad Butt inspected the guard‚ offered Fateh and laid a wreath at the Mazar.

Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. They offered fateha and placed floral wreath at the Mazar.

Talking to the media on the occasion‚ Governor Sindh said that the only way to get rid of crises is to follow the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam.

Chief Minister said democratic institutions are strong and human rights being observed in the country.

Various cultural organizations and educational institutions chalked out different programmes to highlight the life and political achievements of the great leader.
