Qadri extends deadline for 24 hours on Imran's request

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday postponed announcement of final course of action on the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and advised his charged workers to wait until the accomplishment of mission.
Addressing his workers after holding meeting with a delegation of the PTI on Friday, the PAT chief said though the 24-hours deadline had expired and "now we are free to decide about the future course of action". "We still have two options to consider for accomplishment of mission of revolution… and I need your consent before taking any final decision for implementation," he said.
"Either we should take action in accordance to our will and wishes. Or we should wait with patience till the success of mission with the help of God," Qadri said. Hearing this, the marchers shouted in favour of the second option.
Qadri said, "Destination of our struggle is very near and there is a need to take a unanimous decision even similar action by both protesting PTI and PAT. Our enemy is the same."
He, however, once again made it loud and clear: "We both (PTI and PAT) will not go back without getting the fruit of our struggle."
"We will not go back until the end of incumbent regime and the brutal system which humiliates the poor," Dr Qadri reiterated his stance. We will not go back until the success of our mission."
Giving details of his Thursday night's meeting with the army chief, Qadri said, "He did not given any assurance to us regarding the fulfillment of our demands."
Earlier in the day, after the interior minister's and the PM's speeches in the National Assembly, Qadri denied contacting the army. He said the government had lied and deceived the whole nation.
Later, the PAT head thanked ISPR for issuing a statement regarding the government's request to mediate.
