KARACHI: Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse protesting paramedical staff at the Press Club as they tried to reach the Governor House.

According to sources, the protesting paramedical staff demanded the government to take action on their employment confirmation.

As the protestors tried to make their way to the Governor House which is a red zone, they were stopped by the police who used water cannons and tear gas.

Several members of the paramedical staff were injured when police baton charged the crowd.

Due to the protest, traffic was severely disturbed in the area.
