Pak condemn Egyptian blasts

ISLAMABAD, July 24 (Online): President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shuakat Aziz have strongly condemned 3 bomb blasts in Egyptian city Sharmel Shiekh which have claimed 83 lives and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives of innocent people.
In their separate messages to Egyptian President Hussani Mubarrak on Saturday, the President and Prime Minister flayed terrorist incident at Sharmel Shiekh and condoled with bereaved families.
President Musharraf said that Pakistan condemn the terrorism bid in Egypt adding terrorists have no religion and country.
"Terrorists are posing serious threat to world peace by targeting innocent people", he noted.
He said terrorists had no concern with Islam, as Muslim countries would have to formulate joint strategy to smoke them out.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that government and people of Pakistan equally share the grief of the bereaved families of Egypt over the loss of precious lives in deadly explosions.
He noted that terrorist are not deserved for mercy.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan would boost cooperation with Egyptian government to eradicate terrorism. It may be noted that 83 people were killed and 200 injured when car bombs ripped through markets and hotels in the Red Sea resort of Sharmel-Sheikh on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri telephoned Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit and condemned the terrorist bombing in Sharm Al-Shaikh.
He conveyed condolence of the government and people of Pakistan to the government and people of Egypt on this terrorist attack.
He said that their prayers were with the families and victims who have suffered in this attack. He said that Pakistan stands with Egypt in confronting this menace.
He also telephoned foreign minister of Algeria Dr. Mohammad Bedjaoui, Foreign Minister of Gambia Musa Gibril Bala Gaye, Foreign Minister of Comoros Souef Mohamed El Amine, Foreign Minister of Nigar Alchatou Mindaoudon.
He exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and discussed latest development with regard to the UN Security Council Reform and supported the aspirations of African Union for equitable representation on the Security Council. End.
