ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a high-level meeting in Karachi Friday 30,January,2015 to discuss the law and order situation and to review the implementation process of the National Action Plan.

According to the PM House, the meeting will be held at the Sindh Governor House and be attended by all concerned parties, who will apprise the premier on the law and order situation of the city. The prime minister will also be briefed on and will receive an investigative report on the killing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker Sohail Ahmed. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a telephonic conversation with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Babar Ghauri on Thursday 29,January,2015 said that he will bring to justice those involved in the killing of slain MQM worker Sohail Ahmed.

The PM while conveying his condolences said that he would be coming to Karachi tomorrow and will meet with the family of the late MQM worker. He further said that he would also visit the Governor House upon his arrival in Karachi. The MQM observed a day of mourning in Sindh on Thursday against the killing of party worker Sohail Ahmed. Businesses and schools remained closed in several cities of the province including Karachi, Hayderabad and Sukkur. The body of Sohail Ahmed a unit in-charge of the party in Society area was recovered from Maripur on Wednesday. Following the funeral prayers of MQM worker, shops and petrol pumps were forced to shut in metropolitan city.
