PM directed control over petrol supply

ISLAMABAD: PM has strictly directed control over petrol supply in the country and intended for all relevant ministries and departments to ensure seamless coordination to avoid such occurrences in future. Prime Minister Nawaz chaired a high-level meeting, which was held here to review petrol supply situation and implementation of the National Action Plan against terrorism.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday expressed government's resolve to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country and directed law enforcement agencies to take proactive measures for ensuring speedy and effective implementation of the National Action Plan.


Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif attended the meeting. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over availability of petrol in the country. He, however, gave directions for closer coordination among different ministries and departments should ensure seamless coordination to avoid such occurrences in future. Chief Minister Punjab apprised the Prime Minister of the progress made by the province in implementing the National Action Plan (NAP).

The Prime Minister said the government is committed to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country and asked other provinces to speed up the process of implementing this program.
