PM Khoso inaugurates new district of Sohbatpur in Balochistan

QUETTA: Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso inaugurated a new district of Sohbatpur in Balochistan on Saturday. The new district has a population of over 200‚000 and it was a long-standing demand of the people of the area. Sohbatpur district will comprise four tehsils namely Manjipur‚ Hayrvi‚ Faridabad and Sohbatpur. It has eight police stations. The new district borders with Naseerabad‚ Jafarabad and Dera Bugti areas in Balochistan and Jacobabad and Kashmore in Sindh. With Sohbatpur becoming the new district‚ the number of districts in Balochistan will reach 32. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a campus of Baluchistan University at Naseerabad. Secretary Higher Education Commission briefed the Prime Minister about the campus. With the establishment of the campus‚ students of the area will have now modern higher education. End.
