PIA flight with 318 pilgrims arrives in Karachi

KARACHI: A hajji is being welcomed by his relatives on his arrival by first Hajj flight at Hajj terminal after performing pilgrimage to Makkah.

KARACHI: PIA Hajj flight PK-3808 carrying 318 pilgrims from Jeddah arrived Wednesday at the airport here.

According to Media Reports, Federal ministers Makhdoom Amin Faheem and Khurshid Shah were also on board the flight.

A large number of people were present at the airport for welcoming the pilgrims.

Talking to media on this occasion, Federal Minister Makhdoom Amin Faheem said that the ministry of Hajj this year had made better arrangements for the pilgrims, who performed Hajj with relative ease.

Khurshid Shah on this occasion said that 1,80,000 pilgrims were provided Hajj facilities and services, for which, he himself could not perform Hajj and added that serving the Hujjaj-e-Karam was a matter of pride to him.

He said that a committee has been constituted to enquire into travel agents' fraud cases in Pakistan and action would be taken in accordance with their findings.

Meanwhile, the first post-Hajj flight arrived at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar early on Wednesday morning.

During the post-Hajj operation‚ airlifting of thirty three thousand nine hundred and seventy eight pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to Peshawar will be completed by 30th of November.

The Hajj Directorate has requested the relatives of the pilgrims not to come to the airport for receiving their relatives but meet them at Haji Camp Hayatabad.
