LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Sunday announced on Sunday that they would support the strike call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Faisalabad.

PTI Punjab chapter President Ijaz Chaudhry said that the party contacted PAT on the instruction of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and invited Tahirul Qadri's party to attend the protests and demonstration in Faisalabad today (Monday). PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the objectives of both parties are the same and they will rid the nation from the prevailing system. Pakistan Awami Tehreek has also invited Sunni Tehreek to attend PTI's protest tomorrow. It should be noted that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced Plan C in which he announced dates for shutdowns of different cities.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid on Sunday decided to take part in shutter-down protest called by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Faisalabad. PML-Q's provincial leadership will join the PTI's protest. According to PML-Q, Chaudry Zaheer ud Din will spearhead his workers in the protest. Meanwhile, tension gripped Faisalabad ahead of the protest as thousands of policemen were stationed in the city to prevent any law and order situation. Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza also said that Sunni Ittehad Council will join Imran Khan's protest in Faisalabad. He said it while meeting PTI's Punjab President Ijaz Chaudhry and other PTI party members.
