ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said that it was necessary to uproar in the parliament against the so-called budget.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said that the corruption consortium was at work in Pakistan and families of ruling class were involved in corruption and in looting the public wealth.

He said that no target was achieved during the past four years, as the finance minister admitted this himself on Thursday during a press conference.

He said the sloganeering in the budget was the voice of people while the government was dumb and deaf. The opposition leader said the episode was not a pleasant one but the opposition was compelled to do so.

He strongly criticized the PPP-led coalition government and said that the ruling government is mocking with desires of the masses.

Ch. Nisar Ali claimed that in the past four years, inflation, unemployment, loadshedding has increased in the country and made the lives of the people miserable. If the government had any element of decency, then it wouldn't have presented the fifth budget, he remarked.

End.
