ISLAMABAD: Ruling PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said government will soon get another bill passed from national assembly on protection of women rights adding opposition will also be made part of consultation process on this count.

He said this while talking to the journalists here Friday in Muslim League House after meeting of women parliamentarians from PML-Q and its allied parties. PML-Q general secretary Mushahid Hussain Sayyed and women parliamentarians from ruling coalition attended the meeting.

The participants made extensive consultation to work out strategy for elimination of medieval customs like Vanni, marriage with Quran and others. A 10-member committee representing women parliamentarians from federal capital and all the four provinces has been set up under Aneesa Zeb to create awareness among the people for eradication of these outmoded customs.

Chaudhry Shujaat said PML led government is striving to give maximum rights to women. Another bill will soon be got passed from the national assembly in this regard. Consultation was made in the meeting in this connection. "It will be our endeavour to ensure participation of opposition in consultation process, he underscored. Opposition should shun the path of opposition for the sake of opposition and join hands with the government on this issue, he stressed.

As soon as the NA session starts, opposition parties will be contacted so that the bill is passed with consensus, he informed.
