Opp creating disruption by exploiting constitutional issue: Jahangir Tareen

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen has said that it is regretful that opposition wants to create disruption and political unrest by exploiting a purely constitutional issue. He said that lawyers should express their point of view on the issue of reference through lawful and constitutional means instead of representing their stance in contravention with their legal profession. He stated this while talking to representatives of press here On Monday. He said protests on roads and agitational atmosphere is tantamount to an effort to influence the sensitive constitutional issue being considered in the Supreme Judicial Council and opposition is planning to attain political objectives through exploring this constitutional and legal issue. He said political stability is key to the economic development of the country. He said that President Pervez Musharraf for the first time in the history of Pakistan addressed issues of economic and social development due to which we have now a solid foundation of economy and mega projects are being implemented in the country. He said that due to excellent performance of President Pervaiz Musharraf in the domain of economic social development. He has become the most popular leader of the country and the opposition is scared of his popularity and intends to contain the process of progress being launched by the present Government. He said that President Pervaiz Musharraf not only ensured the freedom of expression but also provided a strong base for strengthening the national institutions and some political elements intend to generate crises from the constitutional issue. He said that country has entered into a new era of development and its continuity will be under the dynamic leadership of President Pervaiz Musharraf.
