LAKKI MARWAT: Coming down hard on Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for calling him a "Jewish agent", Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday Pakistan needed no foreign agent in the presence of people like the Maulana.

Speaking to PTI supporters at a rally in Lakki Marwat, he said, "When he [Fazlur Rehman] is here, there is no need for another Jew agent." Imran also claimed that people would see a major difference between the performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and that of other provinces.

"We need a month and then I promise a major difference will be evident in [the performance of] KP and rest of the provinces," he said.

He said the PTI would introduce new local government system in the province and similarly all the government departments would witness improvement in their working. He said people would run schools, colleges and hospitals themselves and they would feel no need to approach any MNA or MPA for resolution of their routine matters. Imran asked people to be ready for a "match" to be played during the August 22 by-elections.

"I want you to prepare for the match on August 22."

The PTI chief said that the party had won the May 11 elections "but the umpires did not do justice". Throwing a challenge to Fazlur Rehman, Imran said the impact of by-elections on the Maulana would be same as what Pakistan cricket team had on India when he was captain. Imran requested his supporters to reach polling stations at 7am on August 22.

"We will see a new era in Lakki Marwat on August 22 evening," he said.

End.
