ISLAMABAD: Leader of Tehrik-e-Insaf Javed Hashmi said Wednesday that first-ever speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the National Assembly was just a traditional address, in which he did not even mention to prevent drone attacks.
He was speaking to the journalists outside the Parliament House. He said that the current assembly consists of one third of those members, who remained associates with dictator Pervez Musharraf, now they are with Nawaz Sharif.
Hashmi said that people have great expectations from the new government but the first speech of new PM does not fulfill their hopes as he did not give his agenda to resolve the people's problems.
He said that the future of PTI is tied with the young generation. He was of the view that political change has come in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa only. Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf would emerge victorious in the next general elections.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf's (PTI) candidate for leader of the house in National Assembly (NA)‚ Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said he is taking part in the election to promote democratic values and culture.
Talking to media here on Wednesday‚ he said victory and defeat makes no difference as the real job is to serve the people. He said his party will work for supremacy of law and constitution.
PTI is working for the supremacy of Constitution and will continue to do so in future, without any reconciliation or being a friendly opposition," said the PTI leader.
Javed Hashmi said PTI will play the role of a real opposition by raising voice for resolution of people's problems including energy crisis‚ unemployment‚ drone attacks and terrorism.
PTI leader Javed Hashmi has said that his party would not practice politics of compromise.
End.
