ISLAMABAD, Sep 13 (Online): Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said national unity and sense of pride is essential to inculcate the spirit of nationalism among the people of Pakistan .

While addressing the members of the executive committee of Nazria-e-Pakistan Council (NPC) at the PM\'s House this evening .

The Prime Minister said the NPC should be evolved into a vibrant organization to serve as a platform to project the message of the Quaid in its true light and to create a national spirit among the people .

The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the NPC which are underway, including display of Quaid\'s sayings free of cost to offices, schools, colleges and other public institutions all over the country, setting up a Quaid Corner in every library of the country in collaboration of HEC and the establishment of reading rooms in all sub-sectors of Islamabad .

The Prime Minister asked the NPC to arrange lectures for the students on Pakistan and its ideology in schools and madaris to inculcate national spirit among them .

The Prime Minister said that minorities are an important segment of our society and have played their due role particularly in the education and health sectors. He emphasized on inter-faith harmony and tolerance in accordance with the teachings of our faith, Islam .

Chairman NPC, Mr. Zahid Malik apprised the Prime Minister that his speech on the subject of \" *Ham Nay Pakistan Ko Kia Diya*\" at a forum organized by the NPC on August 13 this year will be a regular feature every year. He said the NPC received a very positive feedback from the public on the speech .

Former Foreign Minister, Mr. Abdul Sattar while briefing the Prime Minister on the progress of the Aiwan-e-Quaid Project said it would serve as an institute to impart better understanding of the personality and vision of the Quaid to our youth as well as improving their knowledge regarding the sacrifices made by our elders in realizing the dream of Pakistan .
