There are worries other than terror as well

Pakistan's real issues like Kashmir, Siachen and even acquisition of civilian nuclear technology from America have been rebuffed with insults and slaps on the country's face as we are seen to be overly obsessed by less productive yet somewhat necessary issue of terror. For the president of the country terror seems to be the days and nights dreams and haunts of overly obsession to reckon with even when it is diluting all other issues of importance.

The only explosive issue our country menaged to resolve was sharing water through Indus treaty and that was done by non military means. This non military means of resolving water issue of south Asia was done through "Intezar peace diplomacy" initiated by Nehru and Iskander Mirza in 1957 and signed by Ayub Khan and Nehru in early sixtees. Pakistan's musical Intezar with its incomparable songs of Noor Jehan did more for peace than all the military and politicians could ever do for south Asian peace.

Even America and Nato are beginning to realize that bull headed approach is not going to work. This approach has awakened, united and even put Russia and China on the defensive alert and they have put terror on the back burners.

Profiteers and benefactors from terror related work are soon going to find themselves out of business as the titans or the world's real power prowess gets ready to challenge each other for do or die type survival and counter survival. Poor Islamic nations, couple of them fighting only civil wars will be off the hook of terror, which is now only disguise to hide more important agendas of controlling the world's energy resources and the domination of the world. Russia and China with their Shanghai accord are already contemplating to ascend into the arena of real challenge, where the weak Islamic world does'nt fit at all.

Even the main stream Europe is not sending their troops to Afghanistan or Iraq for disguised terror agenda. Even the most enthsiast Blair of Britain has to scramble his troops from Bosnia. Even president Bush is on the ropes in his own country as majority of his country men have voted to put breaks on military adventurism.

Fighting for anti terror made good sense in the after math of 9/11. But now issues are deviated to civil wars with foreign unwanted participation.

It makes more sense kes more sense in Pashtoons world wide going to help Afghan Pashtoons in civil war rather than unwanted foreign troops there. Even the mightiest nation on earth has failed to bring American dreams of their culture and ways into Iraq and Afghanistan, let alone all of middle east. Those people want to live and act the way they have done for thousands of years rather than being forced with new types of dance.

War on terror may still be co-operated on if it is reallyy terror related and not terror in disguised. Sleeping with the tiger, the bear, the dragon or the elephant can be done if it is need of the hour. But to go to the extent of getting crushed by the beasts and annhilation of our nation is unwarranted.

Some monarchies of middle East along with Musharraf and his military Junta can liger on with their dance on foreign tunes, which were logical only for some times after 9/11. Even the democrats of America have talked of calling off war on terror if it ceases to do any damage or ugly incidents. The world already may be in the threshold of ceasefire in terror related acts of war.The weak Islamic world may soon be off hook.

In Afghanistan case, Pashtoons reaching out to help their Pashtoon brothren in Pashtoon’s struggle for survival and for their due share in Afghan affairs need non military dressing of the justice for Pashtoons. Taliban cannot be blamed as they are the grass root majority pashtoons as well as other sypathizers, who are caught in their civil war with every day changing allegiance.

And mainstream Europe has refused to send troops there as it is clearly understood as some body’s civil war rather than terror that will eat up the tiger.

All the world’s remaining may be terror may have migrated to Iraq, where it can easily mingle in the war zone and main stream people , who have been unwillingly caught in an admix of civil war and imposed war.

All parties appear to be resigned from the on going ugly things in the world and seem to have the battle fatigue and the desire to quit fighting to opt for peace. Localized civil war now raging in Afghanistan doeas no longer qualify as terror war.

But the awakened titans and the mightiest of the power prowess do not appear to abate now as a hundred times more serious struggle compared to terror has ensued. This quest of grandness is between the west and the Shanghai accord. Wish all the Islamic world either opts out and is given the clear chit of non participants in the coming clash of the titans.
