KABUL: President Hamid Karzai is scheduled to hold a joint meeting with President Pervez Musharraf and George Bush in Washington, reports said here on Wednesday.

According to BBC report the planned meeting between Hamid Karzai, George Bush and General Pervez Musharraf indicates that Afghanistan and Pakistan enjoy important place in war on terror.

The motive behind the trilateral meeting is said to be the mistrust of Pakistan and Afghanistan in each other in connection with combating terrorism.

Talking to reporters in Kabul, Spokesman to President Karzai, Karim Rahimi said that agenda of the meeting between the three leaders was not known but it was expected that the talks could be focused on security problems in Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai along with a high profile official delegation would visit New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

The three leaders are expected to hold one-to-one meeting and discuss different issues.

Although the agenda of the meeting has so far not been know yet it is expected the talks would focus on terrorism and security problems in Afghanistan.

President Musharraf said on Monday in Islamabad that he would meet President Bush and their talks would be fruitful.
