ISLAMABAD: A 35 year old man belonging from Sindh province attempted self-immolation in front of Supreme Court building on Monday morning in protest for not getting any justice, however Federal police managed to foil his attempt on Monday morning.

According to details, a 35 year old man Muhammad Niaz s/o Mubarak, belonging from District Sanghar (Sindh province) attempted self-immolation in front of building of SC by pouring petrol on his body at 10:00am, however the police present on the spot calmed things down and foiled the attempt.

They carried the ill-fated man in police patrolling vehicle and later took him to Polly Clinic where according to doctors he is in precarious condition.

Earlier, while talking to journalists Muhammad Niaz said that he was working in Nayab Labs, situated in Blue Area since last many months, however two days before three colleagues of his, who work with him in the lab on gun point snatched his valuable cell phone, Rs 5,000 cash and ring on the spot under the jurisdiction of I-9 police station.

He told them that when he lodged the case, police failed to assist him. He was given a very tough and rough time while in addition he was kicked off from his hostel and baseless allegations was imposed on him that prompted him to burn himself.

He further added that undoubtedly he knocked the doors of police stations and courts several times, but in vain as the authorities turned a blind eye over the issue.
