ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik Sunday said that those people using Taliban for their vested interest will themselves killed them

During a press conference here on Sunday, Rehman Malik said the arrested terrorist Attaullah has confessed that he wanted to explode a bomb in Karachi. He was living in Gulistan e Jauhar and associated with Lashkar e Jhangvi.

While hailing security and law enforcement agencies (LEAs)for maintaining peace in the country, Rehman Malik said that the police personnel will be rewarded for thwarting terror bid in Karachi.

He said that Lashkar e Jhangvi is involved in ongoing terrorism, adding that the terrorist killed in a CID police raid Gul Muhammad Mehsud was a resident of Manghopir.

The minister said that Taliban have opened their franchises in which they induct all those people involved in bad activities. He said that Gul Muhammad had affiliation with Taliban’s Sher Khan group.

He urged prepaid customers to get their sims registered again after November 30 otherwise sims could be blocked.

Malik thanked mobile phone companies for their cooperation.

Meanwhile, according to the correspondent, the provincial home department has issued a notification according to which the pillion riding ban has been lifted from Karachi.

Later, SSP Hyderabad Pir Fareed issued a statement according to which ban on motorcycle riding has been lifted in Hyderabad.

SSP Khairpur said that pillion riding ban will remain effective in Khairpur till 13th of Muharram.
