QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Zulfikar Ali Magsi has resigned from his office and forwarded his resignation to President Asif Ali Zardari.

According to the sources, the Balochistan governor phoned the president and asked him to accept his resignation. Magsi has said that the new government should be given a chance to choose its own governor.

"It is a positive step by the nationalist parties participating in the elections, and new government should include good governance to their priorities and hopefully the new government would make the situation of the province better," he said.

It is noteworthy that Magsi had resigned from his office twice earlier two years ago but his resignations were not accepted.

End.
