Karzai, Komorowski discuss strategic deal

KABUL: Poland's President Bronislaw Komorowski on Thursday presented his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai the contents of a proposed strategic cooperation deal between the two countries.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said that President Karzai would seek opinions on the draft from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security Council (NSC).
Karzai and his Polish counterparts discussed in detail the components of the proposed accord and the nature of Polish assistance with Afghanistan beyond 2014.
Komorowski on the occasion vowed his country's continued assistance with Afghanistan beyond 2014 in area of training of Afghan security forces.
Polish has more than 2,500 soldiers in Afghanistan based in Ghazni province.
