Justice Dost Muhammad sworn in as SC judge

ISLAMABAD: Justice Dost Muhammad, chief justice, Peshawar High Court has taken oath as Supreme Court (SC) judge here Friday.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani administered the oath of the office to Justice Dost Muhammad.
Oath taking ceremony was held in SC in a simple and dignified manner.Judges of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Attorney General for Pakistan, Secretary Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan, Vice President of Pakistan Bar Council, President of Supreme Court Bar Association, representatives of the Bar, prominent lawyers and law officers also attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, most senior judge of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Fasihul Mulk took oath as new Chief Justice of PHC here at Governor House on Friday.
The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Shaukatullah Khan administered oath to the newly appointed Chief Justice.
The impressive oath taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak, Information Minister Shah Farman, IGP Nasir Durrani, provincial ministers, lawyers, judges of subordinate and Peshawar High Court, government officials and judicial officers in sufficient number.
Justice Fasihul Mulk has been appointed as Chief Justice PHC after elevation of the former Chief Justice Dost Muhammad as judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
