LAHORE: Muslims observed Jumatul Wida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan, with religious reverence and zeal.
A large number of people visited mosques to offer Friday prayers where prayer leaders and religious figures delivered sermons and lectures on the importance of Ramazan. They urged followers to fully act upon the teachings of Islam.
Special prayers were offered for development and prosperity of the country, well-being of Muslims as well as for unity of the Muslim community. Against the backdrop of prevailing law and order, special security arrangements were made for Friday prayers in major cities across the country.
The number of security officials deployed outside mosques was increased and the worshippers were allowed to enter mosques after through frisking.
End.
