25 January, 2015
ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday 24,January,2015 said that the judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in May 2013 general election could be formed in a ‘matter of few minutes’ if so desired by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Flanked by Minister of State Anusha Rehman, Dar told a press conference that Imran Khan wants the word ‘conspiracy’ removed from the proposed draft. He said the government’s conscience was clear and that Imran Khan should have a “big heart”. The PTI chairman should not waste the nation’s time, Dar asserted.
“The government is sincerely trying to form the judicial commission, which should be formed,” Ishaq Dar said, adding, “The judicial commission will be formed within the ambit of the constitution.”
Dar alleged that the break-up of the dialogue process with the PTI was because of Imran Khan’s statements, adding that Khan deems the elections transparent only if the outcome is in his favour.
