Journalist hurls shoe at Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif faced an awkward situation at the South Asia Labour Conference on Thursday when a journalist hurled a shoe at him after being denied answer of his question.
The shoe, however, narrowly missed the chief minister and flew past of his face. The journalist Imdad Ali Sodhar, belonging to a private Sindhi TV channel, was repeatedly asking question from the CM, but he was not given attention, thus turning him raged and he hurled a shoe at the CM.
The security protocol of the CM immediately encircled the journalist, but neither arrested nor expelled him of the hall. Interestingly, the journalist was forced to take off his other shoe in order to evade such another raging move.
Officials said the journalist would be arrestd once session of the conference ends. According to reports, the incensed journalist was also shouting slogans in favour of Hamid Mir, seeking arrest of his attackers.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif did not react on the incident and sat on a stage in an apparent calm manner.
