KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan along with new PTI member and former PML-N leader Javed Hashmi and Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed a joint press conference here Saturday, our sources reported. During the conference, Hashmi formally announced his joining the PTI.

After making the formal announcement, Javed Hashmi said that it was Khan's determination to bring change that convinced him to join his party. He admitted that Khan was his favourite cricketer but now he is a star politician as well.

He told the reporters that he and Khan shared the same vision of a changed Pakistan which is free of corruption. Hashmi told that Khan came to him and asked to join PTI for the sake of Pakistan and not the party.

He told that Khan said to him, 'Pakistan needs you,' and that is why he joined PTI to work together to safeguard the national interests and to make it a corruption-free state.

Hashmi said that he has no differences with PML-N and Nawaz brothers are like brothers to him. He said that he was observing the deteriorating condition of the country for the past one year so it was the time to join a party working vigorously to bring a positive change in Pakistan.

While addressing the press conference, Imran Khan expressed his joy over Hashmi joining the PTI and welcomed him in the party.

He told that he knew Hashmi since he was sent to jail during the dictator's rule due to his strong principles. He said that it was Hashmi's stand on his principles that made him fit for the PTI. He said that after the joining of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi, PTI's tsunami has gained momentum.

Khan said that we have united to achieve our common goal of stronger and safer Pakistan and to safeguard the national interests. He said that no deal was made with Hashmi and he has joined PTI unconditionally.

PTI chief said that Hashmi has brought his rich experience along to help achieve the party goals, and only time will tell that his decision to join PTI was right.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi also welcomed Javed Hashmi in the PTI and said that it is the time of revolution when people have united on a common platform to achieve goals that are beyond personal interests.

Qureshi said that Hashmi's step to join PTI has rejuvenated the party enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, spokesman of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Pervaiz Rasheed said that Makhdoom Javed Hashmi's step to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is disappointing, our sources reported.

While talking to our sources, Rasheed told that a meeting with Hashmi was due at 7am today in Multan but some forces did not let it happen.

Rasheed said that PML-N and Javed Hasmi have shared a historic association and have faced thick and thin together. He said that his step to join PTI is disheartening.

End.

Welcome sir...

Javed Hashmi was a strong man of PML-N. Now Nawaz sharif sahib please think in broader way about your party. Nawaz should think and reconstruct his party manifesto and should take concrete steps to follow.

Javed Hashmi is a good politician. He really thinks only about Pakistan. He did not support any kind of dictatorship in past. By joining Imran's party i.e PTI, i am going to believe in that PTI has not any sort of establishment support.

So, Javed Hashmi sahib.. Welcome sir....

Please take care of Pakistan if you get any opportunity.

Great Achievement for PTI

Joining of Hashmi is on one hand a great achievement for PTI but more importantly on the other hand is an inspiration for other honest and passionate politicians (Aitezaz, Raza Rabani, Saad Rafik ...) to listen to their heart and strengthen the convoy of PTI that has come out to save the country.

All we oversees are ashamed .....

Makhdoom Sb,
You proved sir, there is no one for so called "NAZRIATI SIASAT". All we oversees feel regret at your decision. Its not only you to join PTI, so many others did the same but KIA PIARAY WATAN MAIN SAB HI CHARHTAY SOORAJ K PUJARI HAIN?
You were inspired of Mr. Khan's vision but why after 15 years?
Being a makhdoom doesn't guaranty you respect and honor rather all ppolitical parties have some honorable leaders, unfortunately you are now excluded from that list.
By the way we are waiting for a new book from you....
MAIN LOTA HON, MIAN LOTA HON...

I wasn't surprise to hear that mr Hashmi joined PTI, the Corrupt political system and leaders now should read the message on the wall that their time is over. People of pakistan need a sincere and honest leaders who can help Pakistan to stand in front of all challenges. Long live Pakistan

NAWAZ SHARIF IS SINCERE PAKISTANI BUT IS IRROGANT. IN POLITICS ONE HAS TO BE FLEXABLE.
IF BOTH PPP/PMLN DISAPPOINTED MASSES AS COUNTRY IS ABOUT TO DROWN, WHY WILL SOME ONE
WHO HAS HEART IN HIS CHEST WILL REMAIN WITH THESE SO CALLED DEMOCRATIC PARTIES.
DOMOCRACY DOES,NT MEAN THAT PEOPLE SHOULD STUCK TO SO CALLED PRINCAPLES.
JAVED HASHMI DECISION IS 100 PERCENT RIGHT AND IN THE INTEREST OF COUNTRY.
BUT STILL I THINK THAT NAWAZ CAN SAVE HIS RESPECT IF HE IMMEDIATELY RESIGN FROM HIS PROVINCIAL
GOVERNMENT AND TRY FOR NEW POLLS.
YET ANOTHER CHALLENGE IS FOR PTI. IMRAN IS NO DOUBT HONEST, SINCER AND EVERTHING BUT STILL
THE PROBLEMS OF PAKISTAN ARE VERY SERIOUS AND IT IS NOT EASY FOR HIM TO OVERCOME IT WITHIN 90 DAYS AS HE CLAIMS.
HOWEVER THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF CHANGE IN OVERNIGHT PROVIDED ALL NATION STAND WITH IMRAN AND GO FOR A CHANGE AT ALL COST.
