Is the youth of PPP, PML-N politically bonded?
25 January, 2014
LAHORE: Is the youth, deemed future of Pakistan, more sensible, polite and tolerable in the contemporary politics? It would not be surprising if the answer comes in affirmative. In this context, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of PPP and Maryam Nawaz Sharif of PML-N have proved it in realistic terms after the former extended invitation for the Sindh Cultural Festival and the latter accepted it amicably.
Bilawal on Friday tweeted to Maryam and invited her and family members to attend the opening ceremony of the Sindh Cultural Festival and pleasantly, Maryam accepted the invitation saying, "Thanks Indeed".
Bilawal is chairperson of the second largest political party in the country, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) after Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Maryam Nawaz is one of the key politicians of the PML-N as a politically visionary daughter of the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Political pundits are terming this invitation and acceptance as a political marriage among young political generation of two mainstream political parties who have ability to steer out the country from different crisis facing Pakistan especially terrorism through their positive and progressive approach.
Bilawal also tweeted a box full of cards with his all good wishes to Maryam Nawaz Sharif for inviting her in the festival and Maryam thanked him.
In the tweet, Bilawal wrote to Maryam, "Fantastic! I insist you attend the opening ceremony. It would be my pleasure to host you and your family". And, after receiving this massage from Bilawal, Maryam replied, "Thank you for inviting me to SCF. Received a box full of cards today! All good wishes". She, for confirming her acceptance of the invitation, re-tweeted Bilawal saying, "Thanks Indeed!"
It is pertinent to mention here that the Sindh Cultural Festival is being held from February 1 to February 15 this year with the allocated budget of Rs450 million of which Rs 150 million is funded by the Sindh government of the PPP.
The opening ceremony of festival would be held at Mohenjo Daro in Larkana, the ancestor city of the Bilawal Bhutto's maternal grandparents. In the opening ceremony, first time ever, one of the oldest civilisations of the world will be lit up.
End.
