The international community on Thursday expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Tezgam train accident. Ambassador of Japan Kuninori Matsuda expressed his deep grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident. In his message, the ambassador extended his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured. “I am deeply saddened to learn of terrible tragedy of the train incident in Rahim Yar Khan and offer my deepest condolences to the victim’s families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.


The United States embassy in Islamabad expressed condolence to the victims of the horrific incident of fire in the passenger train. The embassy shared the statement of Deputy Chief of Mission John Hoover on Twitter, saying, “On behalf of the US Mission in Pakistan, I extend my sympathies to all those affected by the tragic train accident in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab.”

Turkish foreign ministry also offered condolences to Pakistan over the tragic incident. “We heard the news with deep sorrow that a fire onboard a train heading from Karachi to Rawalpindi caused the loss of many lives,” the ministry said in a statement. “We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in this tragic accident, speedy recovery to those who were injured, and convey our condolences to the friendly government and the brotherly people of Pakistan,” the statement added.
