ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday claimed massive poll rigging in Balochistan and revealed that incumbent Chief Minister (CM) Dr Abdul Malik, General Abdul Qadir and former prime minister Zafarullah Jamali were elected through "match fixing" and ballot stuffing.

Speaking to charged workers atop his container at D-Chowk, Imran said "those responsible for this pre-planned poll rigging" were Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and journalist Najam Sethi.

He claimed that the during last general elections Mir Qadoos Bazanjoo, a PML-N member of the National Assembly from District Awaran, was elected with only 25 votes, while in Turbat about 600 votes "disappeared" and the incumbent CM was announced winner from the constituency.

The PTI chief said that in former prime minister Zafarullah Jamali's constituency 24,000 votes were rejected by the returning officer (RO) and Jamali was declared winner. He said the tiny ruling class of Pakistan had made the country hostage and the status quo forces are united against the interests of public.

Imran said it is the prime duty of the government to protect the national kitty, but in Pakistan government functionaries are securing kickbacks and commissions from the development projects. He said the sitting parliamentarians were involved in poll rigging and stealing the mandate of the masses. He accused the Sharif family of accumulating billions through corruption and corrupt practices.

End.
