ICCI lauds exemption of traders from visa requirements

ISLAMABAD: The business community on Tuesday lauded signing of MoU between Pakistan and Turkey regarding exemption of businessmen from visa requirement.
This was discussed between Acting President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Karim Aziz Malik and Zafer Caglayan, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of Turkey in a meeting held today.
Under the MoU, the businessmen from the two countries with valid travel documents can visit and stay in each other’s countries without visa for 90 days. He said this great facility extended by the two governments to their business communities would go a long way in further enhancing and developing the friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkey, and to promote trade ties through facilitation of mutual visits of entrepreneurs.
Zafer Caglayan, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of Turkey said Pakistan and Turkey are brotherly countries and historic friends. He said Turkish government, businessmen and the people have deep love and regard for Pakistan and its people.
He expressed the hope that the MoU would bring entrepreneurs of two countries closer and would open up many new avenues for promoting bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
