IB officer shot dead in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Unknown assailants on Friday shot dead an officer of Intelligence Bureau (IB) In Peshawar, official sources said.

According to sources, unknown armed men opened fire on a vehicle, killing IB Inspector Bashir Khan and injuring his child.

Police said that the IB officer was going to his office when he came under attack. Security has been beefed up and snap checking has also been carried out in different areas of the city following the incident.
