Gujranwala police arrest suspect of Daniel Pearl murder

GUJRANWALA, July 28 (Online): Police officials in Gujranwala have claimed Wednesday that it arrested Syed Muhammad Hashim, a suspect of Daniel Pearl assassination.
According to a private channel, the police have taken Syed Muhammad Hashim s/o Syed Abdul Qadir into custody from a bus near Chanda Qilla by-pass, Gujrawnwala at the time when he was leaving for Azad Kashmir.
After initial investigation, the accused was brought before the special judicial magistrate Gujranwala and later shifted to central jail Gujranwala on fourteen days physical remand.
The accused was wanted by police in Daniel Pearl murder case and government of Sindh had fixed Rs. one million as his head money.
