PESHAWAR: ‘Go Nawaz Go’ has now become a national slogan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday. He was addressing the opening ceremony of under-23 games at Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar. “The echo of the slogan ‘Go Nawaz Go’ will be heard at the grand rally being held by the PTI on Friday,” he said. On the occasion, Khan congratulated Younis Khan on becoming the first Pakistani cricketer to score 10,000 runs in test cricket. “Sports are very important. Had I not been involved in sports, I would not have been standing here,” he said. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak also addressed the ceremony.

Earlier, while addressing a PTI meeting, Imran Khan had said that the Panamagate verdict would help fight corruption. “The Supreme Court of Pakistan’s decision will provide opportunities to establish justice and purify governance system in the country,” he said. Imran Khan said that the success of Panamagate campaign had further strengthened the foundation of Pakistan. “God has raised the ranks of the PTI in the fight that it started against corruption 21 years ago,” he said. Khan vowed not to rest until he had shaped Pakistan according to the visions of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam.
