RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday visited Field Formations deployed in FATA.

This was his first visit to North and South Waziristan agencies after assuming charge of COAS on November 29.

Interacting with officers and men in Miranshah and Wana, the COAS appreciated the state of combat readiness and high morale of troops. He also lauded their achievements towards bringing stability in these areas through development projects being under taken by army.

The COAS advised the officers and men to continue working with army's traditional unflinching resolve and utmost dedication in the service of nation.

Earlier on his arrival in Peshawar, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Kahlid Rabbani.
