ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that Pakistan, Afghanistan and India had no option other than becoming good friends and added that Afghan President Hamid Karzai had agreed not to let his country to be used against Pakistan.

In an interview to the Turkish media, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that neighbours could not be changed. Pakistan, Afghanistan and India had the only option of living like good friends, he said.

Nawaz Sharif said it had been agreed with Afghan President Hamid Karzai that the two countries would not allow their land to be used against each other.He said that better relations among Pakistan, Afghanistan and India were essential for peace and prosperity of the region.

Nawaz Sharif stated that bringing normalcy in the Pak-Afghan ties and considering terrorists as 'mutual enemies' was essential for elimination of extremism.Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan had a vibrant economy offering investment-friendly climate to investors.

While talking to Board of Directors of Doha Group Chairman Sheikh Falah Bin JassimBin Jabor Al-Thani who called on him, Nawaz Sharif said that taking the opportunity of economic prospects available in Pakistan, the Qatari companies should invest in economic sectors, particularly energy and infrastructure. "Qatar is a principal player in the world energy market, especially in the export of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Pakistan will welcome cooperation with Qatar in the energy sector," he added.

"We would like to invite the Qatari petroleum and gas companies to invest in Pakistan's oil and gas exploration and production sector," the PM maintained. He said that both the countries had great potential to increase the existing level of bilateral trade.

"We wish to promote, diversify and strengthen relations in all fields of our bilateral relations," he said and added Pakistan attached great importance to its close and cordial relations with Qatar and valued its contribution to regional peace and stability. He also expressed good wishes for the Emir of Qatar and said that under the Emir's sagacious stewardship, Qatar had played a positive role in the region.
