LAHORE: Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is being celebrated across the country with religious zeal on Friday (today). The day dawned with 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in all provincial capitals to pay homage to the last Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) processions and rallies are being taken out different parts of the country.

Many government and private buildings have also been well-lit, including streets, mosques, shrines, shopping centres and residential areas have been beautifully illuminated with colourful lights.

Special prayers are also scheduled for progress and prosperity of the country. The concerned authorities have announced strict security measures to be taken in all the major cities to avoid any untoward incident.
