LAHORE, March 10(Online): Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that the kite fliers and dealers of dangerous string causing lethal accidents are being booked under terrorist act and severe punishment would be handed out to such elements under the law.

He was talking to the relatives of the recently felled under-age Nadeem Pasha and Shayan Thursday. Government would crush the activities of those who play with the lives of the people in the name of entertainment, he warned.

He disclosed that dangerous string and chemicals have been recovered from different cities during the previous few days and about eight hundred offenders have been nabbed, who have been booked under terrorist act, adding the government has decided to lodge cases against the heads of the families involved in such activities and hence it is incumbent on parents to keep an eye on the activities of their children and discourage them on kite flying.

The Chief Minister expressed condolence to the bereaved families who called for ban on kite flying.

End.
