ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslime League (AML) leader Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad has said if anything bad happens to him, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be responsible.
"A case should be registered against the PM and the Punjab CM if anything were to happen to me," he told reporters outside the Parliament House on Monday.
He also appealed to the military high-ups to start "operation clean up" against corrupt rulers and those whose names had been surfaced in Panama leaks. He mentioned that he had not filed any case regarding past attacks on him and said he was still receiving life threats. He lambasted National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for taking wrong decisions against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. "No one can dare to disqualify Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen," he said and added that the parliament would not survive a day if the both leaders were disqualified. Referring to the Model Town incident, he said those accused of killings had had been sent abroad.
