ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the suicide blast which hit police bus in Karachi on Thursday morning and left 13 policemen dead.

The blast has injured at least 38 cops and civilian pedestrians as damaged several vehicles on the road near police training centre in Razaqabad area of Karachi.

TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid in statement issued to media on Thursday afternoon said that this attack was in reaction to killing of there members in encounter with security forces in Swabi and Peshawar.

The TTP threatened that despite dialogue process such attacks would continue until security forces stop encounter there members and activists.

The spokesman said until formal ceasefire agreement with the government, they would carry out attacks on forces and defence related organization and their installments.

There were more than 50 police officers in the police bus when the incident occurred. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the explosion.
