42 licences to private educational institutions: Peshawer district administration

PESHAWAR: The district administration of Peshawar has issued arms licences to 42 private educational institutions of the city for security purposes.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zaheerul Islam said that the decision was made upon directives of the federal government after the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar terrorist attack tragedy.

He said that complying with government orders, the district administration and school administrations were making efforts to ensure security of the students and staffers. Zaheerul Islam said that 42 private schools, which had applied for licences, have been issued arms licences, while licences would be issued to others as soon they applied.
