KARACHI: Jacson Police on Tuesday arrested four accused allegedly involved in street crimes and recovered 7 snatched mobile phones and 4 TT pistols from their possession.

A handout issued here said the police team was on the routine patrolling at Mai Kalachi Railway Crossing when they signaled four suspected persons later identified as Muhammad Majid, Saddam Hussain, Irfan and Ali Akbar  to stop. On their search they recovered 4 illegal TT pistol and 7 mobile phones from their possession.

According to the initial investigations the accused had been in police custody in Clifton and Boat Basin Police Stations while the accused had confessed to be involved in snatching cell phones including robbery in Defence, Clifton, Boat Basin and other areas of the city.

The police filed the case while further investigation was underway.
