1000-year-old under ground building discovered in Pindi Bhatian

PINDI BHATIAN, Dec 04 (Online): Round about 1000 year old under ground building was discovered during demolish work of 400-year-old Central Jamia Shahi Majid in Pindi Bhatian. It is merit mentioning that the Central Jamia Shahi Majid was constructed in Mughal era.
The under ground building comprised on 13 rooms including 8 large room and 5 small rooms was constructed with lime and Nanak Shahi bricks (decorated bricks used in Mughal era). Mark of man hand was still present on number of bricks.
It may be recalled that Maharaja Rangeet Singh in his tenure had disgraced the recently demolished Central Jamia Shahi Majid and used it as stable .
Anjuman-e-Saleh Muslaman has started construction work of another Masjid in same place, which would be constructed on the pattern of Mughal .
